i got the 3x1 ribbing because it said it had extra room in the calf but it wasnt enough. i needed MORE room in the calf and upper elastic. they're too tight at the top. i also prefer the look of the 1x1 ribbing, and am disappointed in the 3x1 ribbing that wasnt large enough. the sock part fit my foot right, just not my calf and upper leg. and i liked the pattern i picked and the colors. perhaps in the future you could list the size of the maximum stretch at the top of the sock. or the maximum calf size they'll stretch to fit. then people could measure around their leg and know if your socks will or wont fit.
